Support our Musicians and Performers

Mark Leversedge Memorial Scholarship Fund

Mark Leversedge, longtime percussion caption head at RUHS, made an indelible mark on both the marching band and winter drumline programs. Throughout his tenure, he taught, wrote, and directed every show, dedicating himself fully to his students. His unwavering loyalty, strong work ethic, and deep love for teaching were evident in everything he did.

Mark’s passing after a courageous battle with cancer was a tremendous loss. He exemplified the core values of our organization, and his legacy will continue to inspire for years to come. In his honor, this scholarship fund was established to preserve his memory and support future students.

Ranger Band Scholarship Fund

The Ranger Band Scholarship Fund is a need based scholarship, created to support and inspire students who demonstrate exceptional dedication, talent, and passion for the performing arts, values that define the spirit of our Ranger Band and Color Guard community.

This scholarship is designed for students who are committed to their musical or performance journey and who exemplify the core values of hard work, teamwork, and perseverance—whether on the field, in the band room, or during countless hours of rehearsal.

By contributing to this fund, we honor the legacy of the Ranger Band and Color Guard, and we help empower the next generation of performers to pursue their goals. Your support ensures that talented students have access to the resources they need to continue growing as musicians, performers, and leaders, while upholding the tradition of excellence that has defined our program for years.

The Director's Circle

The Director’s Circle recognizes the individuals and families whose extraordinary commitment forms the backbone of the RUHS band and guard programs. Membership in this distinguished group is earned through either an annual contribution of $500 or more in financial support directly to the RUMBA general fund or scholarship fund, or 500 hours or more of dedicated volunteer service.

Director’s Circle members represent the highest level of investment in our students’ success. Through their generosity of time, talent, and resources, they directly strengthen every aspect of the program, from daily operations and logistics to performance opportunities and travel experiences.

This circle is more than a recognition tier; it is a community of leaders who deeply believe in the value of music education, marching arts, and pageantry arts and their transformative impact on student growth, discipline, and teamwork. Their commitment ensures that every student has the opportunity to participate, excel, and thrive, regardless of financial circumstance.

We extend our deepest gratitude to each Director’s Circle member for their exceptional support and unwavering belief in our mission.
